Summer is in full swing and our sales team is staying busy. More families than ever are finding their lakefront home away from home at Long Cove. To accommodate our growing community, we’ve released a new collection of contemporary cottages overlooking Henderson Bay.
Sheltering at Long Cove – your 1200 acre backyard
Longcovians have been taking each day as it comes during the pandemic. We all seem to be juggling new schedules and wearing many hats – like teacher, short order cook, and professional dog walker. We caught up with a few Long Cove families to chat about their experiences and life lessons so far.
Meet the Neighbors
Longcovians are a special bunch and we love nothing more than getting to know families in the community. We caught up with a few Long Cove families to chat about life on (and off) the lake, how they named and designed their lake home, and more. Enjoy getting to know your neighbors and be sure to say hello next time you see them out and about.
Hiking for a Higher Purpose
It goes without saying that Longcovians are an impressive bunch. From creatives to philanthropists and CEOs, the Long Cove community is full of interesting personalities with a wide range of talents.
The very definition of #goals, Karen Northcutt is the latest homeowner inspiring us to get out and do something spectacular. She’s fresh off an 11-day trek to Everest Base Camp, which Long Cove proudly helped to sponsor. And while she says she still hasn’t processed the magnitude of her accomplishment, she’s happy to be back at the lake, recuperating and reflecting on the experience.
Update on Henderson Bay
Happy October, y’all! We hope you’re cozying up to this cooler weather.
Though the summer season has wound down, real estate sales remain steady. The first Harbor Front Townhomes in Henderson Bay have sold out and we’re officially breaking ground on October 21, although dirt’s already flyin’.
Talking Shop with Mister Sweet Tooth
Just a hop, skip and jump away from the lake, downtown Malakoff is on the rise. Longcovians in the know like to stroll the area’s quaint antique shops for lake-home treasures—Rusty Circus and Antiques on Royall are favs—and treat themselves to something decadent from Mister Sweet Tooth, an old-school style bakery that opened in 2017. Haven’t been? Run, don’t walk.
She Said Yes!
It might be time to make Cupid an honorary Longcovian. From last year’s first-ever Long Cove wedding to the recent engagement of Jane Pinkston and Trey Laidlaw, son of homeowners Don and Suzanne Laidlaw, love is truly in the air.
Spotlight on Regatta Grill
Poolside bites, snacks, drinks, and treats—oh, how we love the Regatta Grill!
Summer is in full swing and the grill is open for lunch and dinner, so we thought this was the perfect time to highlight the Regatta and the staff that makes it so delish.
Life’s Better at the Lake
They say life’s good, but it’s better at the lake. We like to think life’s best at Long Cove.
Weekend retreats are ah-mazing year-round. But there’s nothing better than a long weekend at the lake in the heat of summer. The sun’s shining, prime time’s on deck, and we’re gearing up for an unforgettable season with family, friends, and fellow Longcovians.
Save the Date(s)!
With spring break in the rearview, it’s time to gear up for the fun-filled summer season ahead. And y’all, it’s gonna be good. We have more family-friendly celebrations and special events up our sleeve than ever before. Read on for the highlights and be sure to save the date!
Introducing (Even) More Concierge Services
Think life at the lake couldn’t get any sweeter? Think again, Longcovians. Thanks to a new partnership with Prep My Lakehouse, our list of concierge services is longer than ever.
A Long Cove Love Story
Memories are made at Long Cove—and that’s no cliché. Longcovians love to celebrate birthdays, holidays, and milestones in between at the lake. And we live for every minute, striving to do our part to make each celebration as special as possible.
When early Longcovians Sharon and Dwight Mankin bought their cottage in 2014, they envisioned a second home that would serve as the backdrop to family memories for generations to come.
