Update on Eastport

, Update on Eastport

Earlier this summer, we gave a big Longcovian welcome to our newest neighborhood, Eastport.

Located down the shoreline from Dodd’s Point, the tranquil inlet features custom lakefront homesites with beautiful open water views, mature shade trees and easy access to the Long Cove community and all its amenities.

With plans for a heated community pool, a fishing pond and a tree-to-tree adventure park, it should come as no surprise that only two homesites from the first Eastport release remain. We’re working hard to get the Eastport neighborhood ready for all to enjoy, and as you may have noticed, we’re making quick progress!

Some of you have probably noticed the Aquadam from the water. As we dig, this dam is filled with water that’s been pumped out from the lake, keeping the land dry. Speaking of digging, we finished deepening 7 acres of lake, East of Dodd’s Point. Everything was dug to at least a 10-foot depth and 70,000 cubic yards of dirt was moved. That’s a lot of dirt!

The lake should be filled in mid-November — and we can expect to see water in the fishing pond early next year! A heated community pool and the Treetop Adventure Park are also underway. Stay tuned for more details and updates on construction.

As always, it’s an exciting time to be a Longcovian. We’ve got big things in store and you can bet we’ll keep you posted every step of the way!
